I was born in Pembrokeshire, brought up and attended school here before pursuing a career in Law in London. Since retirement from almost forty years as a barrister in Cardiff, practising in criminal law on the Wales & Chester Circuit, I have rekindled my keen interest in Photography. My full time commitment to photography enables me to compose a visual form of Art that I hope will be aesthetically pleasing to others. The spectacular scenery of the Pembrokeshire coastline has provided me with the opportunity to capture Landscape and Seascape images taken against a backdrop of the unique light that this corner of South West Wales provides. I have recently become particularly interested in Portraiture and Street Life, focusing upon the impromptu mood and photogenic quality of characters that I have encountered both at home and abroad. Travelling to overseas countries has greatly enhanced those opportunities. I have been privileged to receive commissions to photograph The Edge Festival Solva, the Pembrokeshire County Show, and to conduct work with the Athena Picture Agency Swansea as well as a number of websites.
I am now a published author: "Photographing Pembrokeshire - A Paradise for Pirates" published by Y Lolfa, where readers can accompany me and take a photographic expedition to carefully chosen areas of the county rich in beauty and history that are forever fascinating.
